More than 30 tonnes of rotting mattresses, sofas and other dumped furniture have been removed during a major community clean-up.

Teams of Cobridge residents spent the weekend completing the massive clean-up to improve their community.

It was organised to welcome dozens of residents who have bought previously boarded-up homes in the area for just £1.

Two hotspot fly-tipping areas were Portland Street and Rutland Street.
